Designed by Bria Hammel Interiors, this classic American farmhouse has just the right amount of modern added to it’s aesthetic. Pulling furnishings from their new line, Brooke and Lou, Bria Hammel Interiors decorated this house in a way that makes you feel right at home, even in pictures! Let’s take a look inside this gorgeous, perfectly cozy farmhouse!
Exterior
While most farmhouses boast a wrap around porch, this home takes it to the next level! Completely surrounding the front of the house and extended on both sides, this porch offers plenty of space to relax the afternoon away with a glass of lemonade, swinging and catching up on the latest happenings.
Kitchen and Pantry
Turning the island from the traditional horizontal position to a vertical one allowed it to become a true eye-catching statement piece. It’s massive size enables it to provide plenty of space to prep and cook with plenty of room left for family and friends to gather. Just off the kitchen, you will find this drop dead gorgeous pantry! Perfectly combining natural wood with the white cabinetry makes it such a timeless, classic beauty!

Dining Space
To create a space for dining while keeping it more casual than a formal dining room, they decided to extend the floor plan, resulting in this adorable nook. By adding two sliding glass doors and a giant window, the space is connected to the beauty of nature beyond in a seamless way.

Entry Way
Due to messy winters and boots that drag in sleet and snow, they decided to go with a matte, black and white diamond pattern tile to add beauty and function. Pairing their adorable Brooke and Lou benches on either side of the door provides the perfect spot store purses, shoes or jackets. Keeping the decor light and simple results in a welcoming, inviting space, perfect for welcoming guests into the home.

Living Room
Though the living room feels thoroughly modern in spirit, the rustic wood beams provide just enough warmth to incorporate the farmhouse aesthetic. There are so many layers of texture to this room making it a cozy, welcoming space.

Reading Nook
This is hands down my favorite area in this home. This comfortable, built-in reading nook is the perfect space to curl up with a book and a cup of hot tea and read the day away! The beams and wallpaper add so much dimension and beauty to this lovely space!

Bathrooms
While each bathroom is so unique and different, they are each equally gorgeous. So many fun, small details add so much to each room: scalloped wood, fun wallpaper, checkered tile, fun paint colors and unique light fixtures.

Office
Located just off the entry way, you will find this perfect office space. They built this custom desk to allow two people to comfortably work. Papering the walls with their vertically striped wall paper gives the illusion of additional height and adds so much personality. To capitalize on the space, they added a pocket door to allow for privacy without taking up too much of the room.

Bonus Room
If you take a moment to glance out the windows of this room, you will notice how it appears to sit among the trees. Because it sits so high, it was nicknamed ‘the tree house’ during the build. They capitalized on the views with all the windows, connecting this space to the outdoors with little visual interruption. Designed as an extra space for kids to play, do homework or just hang out, this room turned out absolutely adorable!

Wine Cellar
On the lower level of the home, you will find this spacious wine cellar. Covering the walls in shiplap continues the farmhouse aesthetic, but adding a unique matte black light and installing the checkered tile adds such a fun, modern interpretation.

Downstairs Bar and Entertaining Area
Just off the fun wine cellar, you will find this adorable bar and entertaining area. With four barstools plus ample additional seating, this is the perfect area to entertain guests. White shiplap adds so much texture to this space and the natural wood cabinetry and open shelving adds warmth.

Mud Room
Ample storage and plenty of organization results in a perfect mudroom. The dark floor contrasts so beautifully with the light, natural wood.
What a well-planned and perfectly thought out design and beautifully decorated home! Their unique take on comfort and simplicity with a heavy focus on functional style makes this home warm and inviting without a hint of pretension. Thank you Bria Hammel Interiors for allowing us to take a visual tour of your impeccably designed home!
